Guelph-Eramosa appoints committee members and township officials

Guelph-Eramosa council decided on various committee positions at its Dec. 15 meeting.

Jim MacFarlane was appointed livestock valuer and pound keeper.

Richard Dunwoody, Bob Chapman and David Davies were appointed fence viewers.

Gerd Uderstadt was appointed as tile drainage inspector and drainage superintendent.

The members of the committee of adjustment were announced, with Melanie Flake, Hugh Calderwood and Valerie Davidge being appointed for this term.

The property standards committee was also appointed, with Trevor Barton, Bob Chapman and Edna Wooley being appointed for this term.

Councillor Corey Woods was unanimously chosen to serve as acting mayor in the event that Mayor Chris White is not available.

The acting mayor could be asked to perform duties ranging from attending an event on the mayor’s behalf to acting as an alternate if the township needs to enact its emergency response plan.
