Guelph brothers arrested in child porn investigation

GUELPH – Two brothers were arrested recently as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.

Guelph Police officials say received information last October from the U.S.-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children about child pornography being uploaded to social media from a Guelph address.

“In February officers executed a search warrant at a west-end address and seized nine electronic devices for further examination,” police stated in a March 31 press release, noting two Guelph men were arrested March 28.

Two brothers, aged 21 and 20, are each charged with possessing and accessing child pornography. The younger brother is also charged with making child pornography available. Both are to appear in court on May 16.
