GSO presents American Rhapsody on Feb.24

The Guelph Symphony Orchestra (GSO) will present American Rhapsody at River Run Centre, on Feb. 24.

The performance will feature music that has come to symbolize the quintessential American symphonic style.

The program will be conducted by artistic director, Judith Yan and will includeBernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.

Pianist and GSO percussionist Amy di Nino joins the GSO as soloist in Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue.

The Guelph Youth Symphony Orchestra (GYSO), conducted by music director Chris Cigolea, will perform Hoedown from Copland’s Rodeo in a side-by-side performance with the GSO.
