The year 2008 is the diamond anniversary of Groves Hospital Volunteer Association.

The hospital has received 75 years of dedicated giving in time and money. The association’s $1-million pledge will be paid in full in 2009. Because of GHVA’s 75th anniversary, the association  gave Groves Hospital an additional 75,000 in support of the CT scanner.

Groves will recognize 288 volunteers on Sept. 25 by holding an appreciation tea.

A flower display dedicated to GHVA has been planted at the old high school in Fergus.

The GHVA annual meeting will be held at the Fergus Legion Oct. 8. Service pins and certificates will be given out.

Organizers are looking for individuals to serve on the board of the volunteer association. Anyone who can assist can phone 519-843-2010, extension 206 and leave a message.
