GUELPH – Upper Grand District School Board officials and Guelph politicians attended a ground breaking for the South Guelph Secondary School at 388 Arkell Rd., near the Victoria Road intersection, on Nov. 7. Attendees, from left, included: Guelph MPP Mike Schreiner, trustee and vice chair Katherine Hauser, trustee and chair Ralf Mesenbrink, director of education Peter Sovran and Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie. The school is set to open in September 2026, with space for about 900 students.
