HARRISTON – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild (GWTG) is gearing up for a return to the stage after a lengthy absence due to COVID-19.

In mid-November the guild will stage the chili cook-off comedy Five Alarm, which was well into production when pandemic restrictions prohibiting indoor gatherings began in March of 2020.

The play will run Nov. 12, 13  and 19 at 7:30pm and Nov. 14 and 21 at 2pm.  The Nov. 20 show will start at 8pm, following the Harriston Santa Claus Parade.

GWTG president Peggy Raftis said there will be limited number of tickets sold for the production to facilitate physical distancing at the Harriston Town Hall Theatre and all required measures to comply with public health regulations will be in place.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our patrons back to the theatre for what should be a fun and entertaining show,” she stated.

Tickets will be available through Eventbrite. Further details on the production will be provided closer to opening.
