Greer, Victor Roy

Greer, Victor Roy; To be with his Lord, peacefully at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on July 25, 2009 in his 97th year. After sixty-five years of marriage, he will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife Bertha Greer of Simcoe. Loving father of Fern Hogan of Simcoe. Fondly remembered and survived by brother-in-law Clarence Orr of Fort Erie and nieces Claire (Ed) Climenhage of Fort Erie and Elaine Presnell of Dundurn, Sask. He will be missed by his many relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Isabella (Colwill) Greer, infant daughter Inez, sister Isla Orr, son-in-law Brian Hogan and sister-in-law Grace Robinson. Victor was formerly of West Luther Township where he farmed for many years and was a lifetime active member of Monck Baptist Church. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from noon until the time of service which was held at 2pm with the Reverend Tim Medhurst officiating. Interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur followed. A special thank you to all the staff at Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe, for their kind and compassionate care of Victor. Memorial donations to the Monck Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
