Great tournament for Novice Fusion

The Centre Wellington Novice Fusion team was in Guelph for the annual Guelph Powerplay Tournament on the weekend of Nov. 21 to 23.  

On Nov. 21 the Fusion faced the Waterloo Wolves and Brinley Wilson, assisted by Ryan McDougall, scored the first Fusion goal late in the first period. Keira Healey, assisted by Wilson, scored another just before the period was over. Fraser Clark scored two goals in the second, and Healey scored another in the third for the win. The Fusion won 5-0. The game MVP went to Fraser Clark and the shutout went to goalie Jacob Kurt.  

Later on Nov. 21, the Fusion faced the Guelph Gryphons, where Wilson scored all three goals for the Fusion, with assistance from Joseph Columbus and McDougall. Guelph answered with three goals resulting in a tie game.  The MVP of the game was Wilson.

Early on Nov. 22 the Fusion lost to the Sarnia Sting 2-0 and Nolan Byrd was the MVP for the Fusion.  

In the fourth game the Fusion played the Kent Cobras and again lost 2-0 and the MVP for this final game was goalie Zack Dickinson.
