Grant application policy clarified by Centre Wellington
Centre Wellington is attempting to clear up part of its grant application policy.
On Nov. 20 community services director Brian Detzler brought forward a recommendation from the township’s community services advisory committee.
The committee wants to remove ambiguity in the policy by adding clearly that capital projects are ineligible for funding through the Community Impact Grant program.
Detzler stressed the measure is not a change to the way the committee has evaluated applications.
He also noted the evaluation process is underway. The goal is to have evaluated applications brought forward for budget discussions.
Council agreed to the change.
