Grand River Mustangs donation supports hockey school in Ukraine

Mustangs support Ukraine – When the Grand River Mustangs Girls Hockey Association learned about Newmarket Minor Hockey’s equipment drive in support of the Vershyna Hockey School in the Ukraine, the girls hockey association rallied. With new branding and all new jerseys on the ice this season, the Grand River Mustangs were pleased to donate 16 bags of their old hockey jerseys to the drive. Mustang representatives, including U11LL player Emma, delivered the equipment to the Magna Centre in Newmarket last weekend. The Mustangs thanked equipment manager Marie Dickinson for organizing the donation. The jerseys, along with enough equipment to fill two garages, will be shipped to the Ukraine in the coming weeks.
