Grand Painting Experience runs on June 6, 7
The Grand Painting Experience welcomes everyone interested in learning the basics of painting outdoors to come to the Elora Centre for the Arts on June 6 and 7.
Art kits will be lent and people will join artists Meredith Blackmore or Rick Worthington on location in the village.
This event is free but registration is encouraged - to reserve the art kit and book the time for the experience. Call 519-846-9698 or email admin@eloracentreforthearts.ca.
For the experienced outdoor painter, the second event runs simultaneously with the free event.
The centre is calling artists to join in a weekend of painting the Grand, in particular the areas around Elora and Fergus.
A $25 registration fee will give a chance to participate in a quick Plein Air Primer - and a day or two of painting outdoors.
In the event that it is raining or too windy, locations will be identified with weather protection. A social gathering at the end of each afternoon as well as a still wet art sale on the Saturday evening will enhance the experience. The public is welcome to the sale on June 6 in the evening, from 7 to 9pm.
