Grand opening planned for tennis courts in Glen Allan
The Glen Allan Parks Association (GAPA) is hosting a grand opening celebration for the new community tennis courts on Sept. 14.
The celebration and barbecue will be held from 5 to 8pm at the Glen Allan Park. In the event of rain, the celebration will be held on Sept. 28. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks for sale in support of the tennis court project. Donations are still being accepted.
The fledgling GAPA raised half the cost of the $60,000 project, which is being split with the Township of Mapleton under the municipality’s 50/50 funding program.
