GORTER, Doug Peacefully on Thursday October 25, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Doug Gorter, in his 75th year was the beloved husband of Doreen Gorter for 53 years, loving father of Linda Plesa (Gary), the late Sheri Gorter (Rob Leitch) and the late Douglas Gorter and adoring grandpa of Robert “Bud”, Alexis, Krissy and Ryan. Friends were invited to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52 (Main Street, South), Erin, on Sunday October 28, 2018 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm and Monday October 29, 2018 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. A funeral service was held at MacIntyre Family Funeral Home on Monday October 29, 2018 at 1:00pm followed by interment at Huxley Cemetery, Hillsburgh. Donations in Doug’s memory can be made to The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #442 or Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation.
