Golf for Kids’ Sake tournament is back

CENTRE WELLINGTON – If you’ve been desperate to get on the golf course and have missed the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington (BBBSCW) Golf for Kids’ Sake tournament in its full form these past few years, you’re in luck.

The tournament is back.

Golf for Kids’ Sake is slated for June 24 at Wildwinds Golf Links. Tee-off is 9am but arrive between 8 and 8:30am for breakfast, organizers say.

This fundraising event supports the many programs that BBBSCW offers, which serve approximately 250 local youth annually.

In previous years, the tournament has attracted over 100 golfers, with more than 30 sponsors, raising upwards of $15,000.

This year, the goal is to engage even more of the community to participate.

Registration includes breakfast, snacks, 18 holes of golf with a shared cart and post-golf luncheon.

There will be prizes for a putting competition, longest drive and closest to the pin.

In addition there will also be a silent auction with prizes donated from community sponsors.
