Go under the sea in splashy new Broadway musical

Discover the magic under the sea as Drayton Entertainment takes family audiences on an aquatic adventure with its production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid this holiday season.

This highly-anticipated theatrical event will dive onto the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge stage for five weeks only, Nov. 19 to Dec. 21.

“I am delighted to bring another heartwarming Disney classic to our audiences in Cambridge,” says Alex Mustakas, artistic director of Drayton Entertainment.

Based on the popular 1989 film and one of Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is for audiences of all ages.

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is written by Doug Wright. The score includes all the memorable songs from the original film including Part of Your World, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Kiss The Girl, Under The Sea and several new songs.

Jayme Armstrong takes on the role of Princess Ariel, while 14-year-old Aidan Tye, who played the title character in Oliver! last season, plays Ariel’s nervous best friend Flounder the fish. Keith Savage is the goofy seagull Scuttle, and Mark Cassius is the crab Sebastian. David Cotton will play the dashing Prince Eric with Victor A. Young as his royal confidante, Grimsby. Marcus Nance is the mighty King Triton, with Nick Settimi as Chef Louis. Kristin Peace will play Ursula, while Gregory Pember and Thomas Alderson are her sidekicks Flotsam and Jetsam.
