General surgeon joins Groves hospital team
ABOYNE – General surgeon Dr. Sumanta Dutta will be providing general surgery and endoscopy services at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
Dutta has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, general surgery and therapeutic endoscopy, including contributions to surgical research, hospital officials say.
“General surgery is a blend of medicine, art and technical skills” explains Dutta in a Sept. 4 press release.
He earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in India and completed surgical training, research and fellowship in the United Kingdom.
Dutta brings a passion for providing quality patient care and will be performing various general surgical procedures and endoscopies at Groves.
Having recently relocated from British Columbia with his wife and two children, Dutta said he’s is excited to work with a fantastic surgical team in a vibrant and expanding community.
