GEAR Robert Gordon of Fergus, passed away at Guelph Wellington Hospice with his wife Joan (Carroll) by his side. Bob is survived by his children Debra Gear, Peggy Madson (Chris) and Brian all of Victoria BC, Bob Gear (Donna) of Fergus, Penny Gibson (Roger) of Elora and Barb Bushell (Paul) of Port Elgin. Also survived by step children Tracy, Ruth, and Jim. He will be missed by his 8 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Survived by sister in law Lorene Gear, several nephews and nieces as well as his brother in law Bill Carroll (Sandra). Predeceased by son David, siblings Peggy Beirnes (Bill), Don Gear and Betty Beirnes, sister in law Gwen and brother in law John Nelson. Funeral Service for Robert was conducted at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Monday, March 20th, 2017 at 11:00am, with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment at Belsyde Cemetery.
