GAWEL, Mary: Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital  on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Walter Gawel (1991). Loving mother of  the late Richard (Agnes) of Cambridge, Zenon (Linda) of Kitchener, Andy (Isabel Nadeau) of Clifford, George (Sharon) of Clifford, the late John (Jane) of Kitchener, Barbara of Palmerston, and Henry (Gayle Blackwell) of Palmerston. Much loved grandmother of 17 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 30 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by great-grandson Troy McLaughlin and great-granddaughter Emma Lynn Gawel. Dear Ciocia of Bozena Vlahek, Joseph Szymczak, and Jolanta Szymczak and their families. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Agnes R.C. Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
