Gammie, Candace “Candy”; After a short and courageous battle with cancer, on February 7th, 2013 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus in her 60th year. Best friend and loving wife of 37 years to Robert Gammie. Loving Mom and best friend to her daughter Jodi (Kevin) and son Brian (Ashley). Very special Gramma to Christopher, Lucas, Grace and Audrey. Sister to Karen (Art), Robert (Suzanne) and Robin (Roy). Sister-in-law to Sandra, Barb (Tiny), Donna (Bob), Cathy (Tom) and Randy. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Beatrice Chamberlain and step-mother Olga Chamberlain as well as sister Shirley Cook. Also predeceased by her in-laws Ken and Grace “Betty” Gammie and brothers-in-law Ken Gammie and Jim Cook. Candy will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and other family members. Friends were received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on Sunday, February 10th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral Service for Candy was held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, February 11th, 2013 at 1:00pm.
