Gallant, Irene Alice (nee Elmy); Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Sunday, October 25, 2009 in her 84th year. Devoted wife of Frank. Loving mother of Arlene & her husband Art Snider, Arthur John Irwin & Liz Bain, Janice Edwards & Kevin Townsend and the
late Robert Irwin. Dear grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Joyce and Hazel Smith. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. The family received friends at the Doney Funeral Home, 318 Main St. E., Shelburne on Wednesday, October 28 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral service was in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 11am. Interment at Shelburne Cemetery. Irene had a great love for her family, a passion for her flowers and gardening and her cooking and quilting were second to none. With Irene there was always room for one more.
