FERGUS – The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington (BBBSCW) held its Big Night Out Gala fundraiser on March 2. The event raised over $80,000 for the non-profit organization.

This event was presented by MFC Lawyers and RLB LLP.

The third annual gala was held at the future home of BBBSCW, a current warehouse space located at 900 Tower Street South, with over 280 people in attendance.

Funds raised will allow BBBSCW to continue youth programming, as well as serve as a hub for other organizations to offer services to the community, making more diverse resources accessible to youth in Centre Wellington.

“The hub is a hard thing to explain, so it was really nice to be able to share the vision with the community so they could see what a hidden gem this space is and what we plan to do,” said Kristen Drexler, executive director of BBBSCW.

“It is wonderful that we were able to raise $80,000 with this event and we are thrilled that almost 300 people know more about the work we are doing in our community to help with mental health with our youth.

“It is amazing how many people supported us with this event from volunteers to other organizations, vendors, sponsors and prize donors- it truly does take a village.”
