Fusion wins Outdoor Winter Classic
On Jan. 3 the Novice Fusion ‘AA’ met the Caledon Hawks at the Puslinch Community Centre for an Outdoor Winter Classic game.
Kai Wycherley assisted by Keira Healey and Ryan McDougall scored the first goal. Healey then scored assisted by Brinley Wilson, and Mcdougall was then assisted by Healey. Liam McCracken scored the final goal aided by Aidan Meyer.
The final score for the game was 4-2 for the Fusion.
On Jan. 4 the Fusion played in Elora against the Burlington Eagles. Scoring credits go to Eddie McDonald, assisted by Zander Pereira and Denver Feltham. McDougall, with help from Healey, brought the score to 2-1.
Pereira scored mid way through the second period, assisted by McDonald.
Burlington answered with two more goals of its own ending in a tie game of 3-3.
