Fusion Major Atom "AE" sail into Russell division final
After a hard fought battle in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association semi-finals, the Fusion Major Atom ‘AE’ team returned to round robin play in the Tri-County division.
The team clinched first place by remaining undefeated in its six game round robin series - defeating New Hamburg 8-1; Woolwich Blue 2-1 and 7-0; and Ancaster 4-0.
The players’ grit, determination and teamwork have earned them a spot in a five game play-off series with Ancaster for the Tri-County Russell Division Championship, team officials said.
Team members include Nathan Embro, Cameron denHoed, Gabe Fraser, Owen Vaughan, Cage Jacob (CJ) White, Adam Bakker, Kevin Parkinson, Owen Wilson, Owen Haelzle, Erich Woodard, Gavin Biggs, Jackson Rae, Mason Pittman, Evan Doerr, Campbell Hobson and net minders Brodie Skerritt and Grayson Kuhlmann. Bench staff includes Mike Pittman, Dave Embro, Jason Haelzle, Jarod Rae and Tim Kuhlmann. Team officials say, “Congratulations to all.”
