Frying pan assailant charged

GUELPH – A Guelph man has been charged following an argument between roommates that ended with someone being hit in the head with a frying pan.

Guelph Police officials say officers were called to an address near Eramosa Road and Speedvale Avenue East on May 9.

“A male said he was watching TV when his then-roommate began accusing him of stealing and then struck him in the head and hand with a frying pan, causing a laceration to the top of his head,” police stated in a May 16 press release.

A 64-year-old Guelph man was arrested for assault with a weapon and is to appear in Guelph court on July 22.
