Fourth rodeo runs June 5 to 7

For the fourth consecutive year, the Erin Agricultural Society will host live rodeo at the fairgrounds here on June 5, 6, and 7.

New this year are amusement rides free with admission. Back for a second year, the Rawhide Rodeo Company of Pontypool, will do the rodeo.

World champion cowboys and cowgirls will compete. Contestants will come from as far away as Oklahoma and Texas but five are locals. The events begin on June 5 at 7pm, and the weekend included a dances, rodeo, barbecue steak dinner among the attractions.

Tickets range from one day admissions of $13, with extras for the dances and barbecues. Camping spots with no utilities are $15 and those with utilities are $25. The event continues rain or shine, and babes in arms are free. Tickets are available at various businesses, www.ErinRodeo.com and at the gate.
