The Ontario Fire Marshals Office has been notified and the OPP crime unit and forensic unit are currently at the scene of a car fire to identify a deceased person.
On March 16 at approximately 11:55am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were contacted regarding a vehicle fire on 6th Line north of Wellington County Road 18, Centre Wellington Twp.
Uniform members along with Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue attended and located the body of a deceased party in the vehicle.
The Ontario Fire Marshals Office has been notified. Uniform members along with the Wellington County Crime Unit, and the Forensic Identification Unit are on scene and the investigation is in its preliminary stages.
6th Line Centre Wellington Twp. is currently closed between County Road 18 and Sideroad 9 and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
