BRUCEDALE – Following the rules in Guelph/Eramosa Township could be more than its own reward this fall.

The township has announced plans to launch a “positive ticketing campaign” this month meant to celebrate and encourage good behaviour.

“Instead of issuing tickets for bylaw violations, we are turning the concept on its head by rewarding residents who follow our township bylaws,” a news release stated.

The pilot project will run until the end of the year. When a positive act is observed or reported, a “positive ticket” will be issued.

Recipients can then redeem their tickets for prizes, provided by local business partners.

Campaign launch is set for mid-September, for more information visit  get.on.ca.
