Flocking Holiday Home Tour set for Nov. 22

MOUNT FOREST – The 2025 Flocking Holiday Home Tour will take place at five different locations in Mount Forest and the surrounding area on Nov. 22 from 10am to 3pm.

This community event is organized by the Mount Forest aquatics ad-hoc advisory committee.

The holiday tour will see local homeowners open their homes to raise money for the new Mount Forest pool, while inspiring the community to get in the holiday mood.

There are five homes on this self-guided tour this year:

  • Rachel Whetham (Waterloo Street, Mount Forest);
  • Frank Wood and Danny Castellano (Sideroad 3 W, Mount Forest);
  • John Reid (Albert Street, Mount Forest);
  • Emily and Shawn Aitken (Newfoundland Street, Mount Forest); and
  • Emily Hodges’ Kettle Creek Cabin (Southgate Road 12, Holstein).

“Thank you to the homeowners for opening their beautiful homes and volunteering their time,” said Sherry Burke, committee chair.

“Their efforts and festive spirit play a vital role in making the event such a memorable and successful experience.

“By sharing their space and welcoming guests with open doors, they help bring joy to many while also supporting a meaningful cause in our community.”

Tickets for the 2025 Flocking Holiday Home Tour are $30 each and are available at the following locations in Mount Forest: Mount Forest Greenhouse (460 Durham St. E.), M&M Food Market (160B Main St. N.), Plume’s Main Street Interiors (198 Main St. N.) and Coldwell Banker WIN Realty (153 Main St. S.).

The Mount Forest aquatics ad-hoc advisory committee has raised $1,058,450 toward its $2.5-million goal for the new Mount Forest outdoor pool.

Once 80 per cent of the target is reached, the project will move forward to the tendering phase.
