First winner of hospital 50/50 lottery nets $10,000
WELLINGTON COUNTY – The three hospitals in Wellington County have joined together to operate a 50/50 lottery to help purchase equipment for Groves, Louise Marshall and Palmerston hospitals.
On Sept. 3 they announced the first winner – David (last name not provided) – who walked away with $10,665.
The next grand prize draw is on Oct. 12 just before noon. There will also be an early bird draw on Sept. 21. One ticket could win the $500 early bird prize and jackpot, determined by the number of tickets bought.
Tickets cost $40 for 200, $20 for 60, or $10 for 10 tickets.
