PUSLINCH – Hudson Bowman, 10, crossed the finish line in 22 minutes and 18 seconds for a 5km in benefit of Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre on Oct. 19. Bowman raised $700 in pledges toward a total of $5,000 to support Sunrise therapy horses. Home Depot sponsored the event, providing lawn games and volunteer help. The event also had face painting and a hand-made marketplace, including items crafted by those in the Sunrise Life Skills adult day program. It was the first-ever ‘Hike 4 Horses’ event raising funds for the Puslinch equine therapy centre.
