Fire services respond to coverall shed fire in Wellington North

WELLINGTON NORTH - A coverall shed caught fire here at the corner of Sideroad 6 West and Concession Road 9 on Dec. 12.

Firefighters from Wellington North Fire Services and Minto Fire Department responded to the scene and gained control of the fire.

As of 3pm on Sunday, firefighters remained on scene working to extinguish piles of hay being removed by an excavator, according to an email from Wellington North Fire Service deputy chief Callise Loos.

Loos reported there has been no injuries to occupants or firefighters.

"All animals were removed safely from the shed," Loos stated.

The cause of the fire and a damage estimate have not yet been determined.
