Film night pairs with food for Sensational event

Sensational Elora presents October’s Film on a Plate feature “Bagdad Cafe.”

The film introduces Meet Jasmin Munchgstettner (Marianne Sagebrecht), a German tourist who finds herself marooned at a truck stop on the edge of the Mohave Desert.

No ordinary truck stop, this ramshackle café/motel, run by ‘tough as nails’ Brenda seems to be the final depot for strange and lonely souls, including Rudi Cox (Jack Palance).

The event includes a culinary menu prepared by executive chef from the Cambridge Mill, Brad Lomanto who will offer up his own version of roadside diner fare.

It will be an evening of food, film and great conversation.

Film on a Plate is Oct. 6 at 6:30pm at the Fergus Grand Theatre. Tickets are $25 and include both food and film.

Tickets are available. through www.sensationalelora.com or at the Fergus Grand Theatre by calling 519-787-1981.
