If you saw a drone flying above the Grand River in Fergus last week, it was another film shoot in town.

Filming took place on July 14 along the Grand River by Templin Gardens.

Centre Wellington Township received a certificate of insurance as well as NAV Canada certification for drone use.

A letter by Deb Dalziel of Elora and Fergus Tourism stated the production is for the volunteer thank you and opening segment for the Toronto International Film Festival produced by Cineplex.

The film crew consisted of eight to ten people and Ken Thompson of River Raft Co. was contracted by the film crew to provide expertise on river currents and navigating the rapids. One Axe Pursuits provided the river raft and rigging.
