Festival wine tasting, dinner set for Nov. 15

The Elora Fes­tival and Singers will present a gala fundraising dinner and wine tasting on Nov. 15 in the Waterside Room of the Elora Mill.

The evening starts with a champagne reception at 6pm. Guests will then have a five-course dinner prepared by chef Matthew Foote, each course pair­ed by selected, vintage wines chosen by Malcolm Rob­erts.

Foote, formerly of Langdon Hall Country House Hotel and Spa in Cambridge and Four Seasons Toronto, has been hail­ed by a national reviewer as “using his substantial imagina­tion to ensure his menu can hold its own with most upscale restaurants in any city in Can­ada.”

Roberts was recently award­ed Vigneron d’honneur de la Jurade de St.-Émillion.

The evening will end with live and silent auctions.

Tickets ($225) are available at 846-0331. A tax re­ceipt for the allowable amount will be issued. All proceeds are benefit of the Elora Festival Singers.
