Started in 2013, many Fergus Scottish Festival Tattoo guests will be pleased to hear that the World Record attempt for simultaneously turning the most cabers will be returning in 2014.
During the first attempt, 48 of the volunteer throwers were able to complete the task. Though this was a fantastic number, not enough for Guinness to consider it a record, which is why it’s back this year to not only set a record, but make one that will hopefully be unattainable for others to break.
Those interested in partaking in this year’s attempt are invited to sponsor a caber. Following the lead of the Title Sponsor for the attempt, Your Hometown Realty, individuals and businesses are able to sponsor a caber for $150 each, which includes passes to the festival and the opportunity to keep the caber following the attempt. Should the Guinness World Record be achieved, sponsors will be recognized on a plaque honouring the record.
