FERGUS – The Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games hosted a free public “Kilt Skate” at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex on Feb. 25.

“Kilt Skate 2024 was an incredible success,” executive director Elizabeth Bender stated, adding there were “hundreds in attendance.”

Entertainment was provided by the Fergus Pipe Band, Blue Bonnet Lassies and local band Crowded Table.

Sheena’s Scottish Shortbread provided hot chocolate and shortbread  snacks.

The festival thanked Centre Wellington for its support, as well as volunteers.

Admission tickets for the 2024 Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games are on sale, with camping registration, clan and vendor applications opening March 1.
