Fergus Scottish Festival hosts Kilt Skate

FERGUS – Hundreds of people flocked to the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex on Saturday to enjoy the annual Kilt Skate. The event was a kick-off of sorts for the 80th edition of the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games, which runs from Aug. 8 to 10. The Fergus Pipe Band, Grand Celtic Pipe Band and the Blue Bonnet Lassies Highland dancers entertained skaters who also enjoyed delicious snacks and snapped up festival merchandise.
