Fergus Scottish Festival campsite reservations available Jan. 26

On Jan.. 26 at noon, the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games campsite reservations will be available.

In prior years, campsite bookings began in May, but organizers decided this year to bring the date forward to a less hectic time of the year for festival office administration.

Serviced sites are $125, and it is $100 for unserviced, for the whole weekend, regardless of the length of stay. Campsites are limited to a maximum of eight people per site and all campers must have and wear a valid wristband for each of the days that they plan to be on the festival site.

Campers can check in as early as 3pm on the Thursday, Aug. 6, and stay as late as noon on Monday, Aug. 10. Every site receives one pass for a vehicle to access the camping area only, and only one vehicle per site is allowed. Additional parking may be purchased for a nominal fee of $5 per day per vehicle. There will be no refunds for campsites or passes.

Reserve a campsite by phone at 519-787-0099 or 1-866-871-9441; or in person at the festival office at 398 St. Andrew Street West, or on-line at www.fergusscottishfestival.com.  Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Reservations will not be available prior to Jan. 26 at noon. Campsite confirmations will be sent at the completion of the registration period.

The 64th Scottish Festival and Highland Games run Aug. 7 to 9.
