Fergus Lions kick-off Toy Drive campaign with donation to Centre Wellington Food Bank

Cheque - The Fergus Lions Club has started its annual Toy Drive  in support of the Centre Wellington Food Bank, which will end on Dec. 8, hosted by Reliable Ford in Fergus to help the food bank with its holiday hamper needs.

On Nov. 17, Members of the club presented the food bank with a $2,000 cheque. From left: Fergus Lions president Margaret Murray, Lions secretary Michel Flemming, food bank director Jackie Andrews, food bank manager Fred Aleksandrowicz, and Lions Toy Drive chair Gary Waterhouse.

“Last year we raised $8,000 and we hope to do even better this year as times have become even more drastic than in the past,” said Waterhouse.
