New sign - “It was a long time coming but our new sign is finally up and in place,” said Eric Goudie, theatre co-ordinator at the Fergus Grand Theatre. The sign is modeled after the original and is a bit smaller but made of better material and weighs about 80 pounds, the installer said. The paint is outdoor paint and the sign was sealed to protect it from weather. The sign maker Gordon Thorne now lives in Hamilton but was a resident of Centre Wellington for a number of years.
