Elora Community Theatre’s production of Narnia, based on C.S. Lewis’ children’s novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe opens at the Fergus Grand Theatre on May 2.
The play runs until May 11, and will have two matinee performances each weekend on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 2pm.
There will also be the usual evening shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm.
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is the second novel in Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia series, but by far the most famous. Audiences will enjoy seeing the story adapted into a musical presentation which captures the unique, enchanted world of myth and fable, inhabited by intelligent talking animals and ruled by the majestic King Aslan, Great Lion of Narnia.
The action begins when four children enter Narnia through a wardrobe at a moment of high adventure and great wonderment. Beyond its doors, lessons of courage, selflessness and wisdom await them.
This is ECT’s third play in a successful season of ESCAPE which featured Peter Pan and Norm Foster’s Old Love.
The 2014-15 line-up will be announced soon.
Reduced ticket prices are available for students, groups, children and seniors.
Tickets can be ordered by calling the Fergus Grand Theatre box office at 519-787- 1981 or purchased online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.
