Fergus Curling Club hosts "Curling 101"
Curling 101 - The Fergus Curling Club is up and running for another year with COVID-19 restrictions. The first bonspiel of the curling season is for new curlers to participate in a bonspiel (tournament) after going through a short course called “Curling 101” with Chris Taylor as the instructor. A longtime curler, Taylor teaches from experience as well as from the book. The object of this spiel is to pair new curlers with experienced curlers and to have fun. The winners this year were, from left: skip Rick Marshall, vice Chris Laitar, second Dawna Laitar, and new curler Liam Beacock as lead and prospect to join the ranks of the junior curlers.
