FERGUS –The Fergus Curling Club hosted its annual Groundhog Bonspiel on Feb. 1, drawing teams from as far away as King Township and Kitchener/Waterloo. Sixteen teams, split into two draws, competed in three six-end games. The winners were the “Duruelle” Team from Fergus.

In keeping with the curling club’s Scottish tradition, members of the Fergus Pipe Band piped teams onto the ice and a player from each draw participated in a “Toast to the Pipers.”
