Fergus Curling Club hosted open house in prep for season
Fergus Curling Club - As the weather gets cooler, it’s time for curlers to dust off their gear for the upcoming season. The Fergus Curling Club held its annual open house on Oct. 5 and 6. “It has been quite busy with people seeking a new way of getting out and socializing after being stuck inside during the pandemic,” said Chris Taylor (right) as she signed on Kathy Veniez. The club offers a short course called “Curling 101” designed to acquaint new members with the rules and etiquette of the game, and to get the feel for what it is like to slide on the ice surface.
