Fergus Curling Club hosted annual Sweethearts Bonspiel

Sweethearts bonspiel - The Sweethearts Bonspiel has been up for competition for 45 years and this year teams competed on Feb. 15 at the Fergus Curling Club. Held near Valentine’s Day with games on Friday evening and throughout Saturday, many people return year after year to see old friends and meet new ones. This year’s win was by a team from Wingham. Members of the team are, from left: skip Ben Shane, vice Olivia Beirnes, lead Hillarie Riddell, and second Kyle Forster. The hosts who did a splendid job again this year are on the ends with Jennifer Gleva on the left and Jeff Gleva on the right.
