Fergus and District Kinsmen celebrate 100th anniversary of Kin Canada

Something to celebrate – The Fergus and District Kinsmen Club raised a flag on Feb. 20 to note the 100th anniversary of Kin Canada. The Kinsmen Club was founded on Feb. 20, 1920 and has grown over its 100-year history to 6,000 members across the country. The club’s focus is on service, leadership, fellowship and personal development and its main charity is Cystic Fibrosis Canada. In the Fergus area the club also supports the local hospital, food bank, Santa Claus parade, swimming programs, youth softball and soccer, and Crime Stoppers, among other causes. The Fergus club celebrates its 30th anniversary this spring.
