Fergus Ag Society partners with Dufferin farm for fundraiser
FERGUS – The Fergus Agricultural Society is teaming up with Hereward Farms for the Breakfast and Blooms fundraiser on July 18.
The event is set to take place from 9am to noon, with breakfast and access to Hereward Farms’ lavender and sunflower fields.
The breakfast will be prepared by the Optimist Club of Guelph.
Activities are geared to all ages, including create-your-own lavender bouquets, sensory play stations, rock painting, crafts, and educational agricultural exhibits, with photo opportunities throughout the property.
“We’re excited to partner with the Fergus Agricultural Society to create an event that not only brings families together but also supports an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting agriculture in our community,” said Julie Thurgood-Burnett of Hereward Farms.
Proceeds support the society’s work promoting agriculture, education, and rural life, and its programs for future generations of farmers.
“Partnerships like this help bring our vision to life – a thriving community where agriculture and rural lifestyles are understood and appreciated,” said Fergus Agricultural Society president Denise Kankainen.
