Fat Cats play Eden Mills

Often revered as the pioneers of Canadian “Jam bands,” the Fat Cats free flowing and uninhibited style of playing has been the signature sound of the band since their inception over 20 years ago.

The chemistry between the players has kept this ideal blooming throughout their history and forges the future of their unmistakable sound.

Featuring the band’s founders Chris Gatchene and Todd Gillies on guitar and vocals, longtime bassist Dave Hill, drummer Adam Bernstein and Eden Mills’ own Josh Williams on keyboard, the band pays homage to many great singers and songwriters, their sound taking on an electrifying groove that draws on the popular genres of the last 60 years.

“While both timely and lyrically relevant, their music possesses an ageless quality that speaks to all generations of listeners. Their infectious sound makes them a sure bet to draw a crowd, and entertain,” states a press release from organizers of a  Fat Cats show on Oct. 3 at the Eden Mills Community Club, 104 York Street.

The show starts at 7:30pm and tickets are available at the door or in advance by emailing linda@prismalight.com or buying online at www.edenmills.ca/music.

This event is a fundraiser for the Eden Mills Community Hall.
