Fair, Gordon - Of Guelph, formerly of Nichol Twp., passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, March 15, 2014, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Brown) and the late Marian (Gammie). Loved father of Susan (Russ) Spicer, Sandy (Sue) Fair, Paul Fair, Louise (Ken) Elder, Tom (Sheila) Fair, Alice (Bruce) VanAllen, Jill (Vaughn) Ostland, Kelli (Brad) Dixon and the late Jennifer Brown. Loving “papa” to 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Alan (Hazel) Fair, Isabel (the late Max) Forsythe, Kate (the late George) Pollard, the late Jim, Jack, Tom, Ken, Alex and John Fair. Friends were received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday (2-4 & 7-9 p.m.). Funeral service was held at Barrie Hill United Church on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11 a.m.. Reception followed in the church hall. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital, Barrie Hill United Church or to Right to Write would be appreciated.
