WELLINGTON NORTH - On Sept. 30 at about 9:50pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 109 near Sideroad 16.

Police say the officer observed a blue sedan that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was allegedly clocked on radar at about 150km/h in an 80km/h zone.

Suspected cannabis was located in the vehicle, “readily available to the driver,” police say.

Andrew Lloyd Doupe, 32, of Palmerston, was charged with racing a motor vehicle and care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available and is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 18.
